Sunlit Window

For this painting I pulled from a series of photos I took while visiting the Greenbriar Resort. The place is filled with lots of color and pattern, originally after Dorothy Draper, who was a pioneer in interior design, dominating the field from 1925 to 1960 when she was named the most influential tastemaker in America. What I liked best, however was the sun streaming through the window and onto the carpet.  FRAMED

This was juried into the Women Painters of the Southeast 2014 annual show, held in Greensboro, GA.
